Has anyone on this forum done this? I'm not sure the mfr makes rear wheel wts for my TN90F.

It seems so simple, but I struck out at Tractor Supply and Messick has only a third party solution that's not cheap.

Thanks, J

Not sure of the thread location on TBN but the topic has been covered here before. Try searching this site and you should find it. Some folks use cement, some have used weight lifting weights. Guess anything that can be mounted on the rear wheels that won't come off or cause damage should work.

The search feature on this board is kinda odd.. usually gives you either -0- hits, or 256,768,761.67 hits.. both being useless pactically. We went thru this discussion talking about tractor hydro failures a few weeks back.

Try ballast.. or just weight.. etc.

As another poster said.. cement cast weights used to be real popular.. very cheap too... easy to custom make with just about anything as forms... place bolts as needed to mate to wheel centers..

Sound Guy nailed it. Concret makes easy/cheep wheel weights. My brother laid the wheel down, lined with plastic and placed tubing for bolting it on.

Presto!

Not sure of a key word.

But, yes, there have been a couple threads abouth this over the years. One person made up a really cool adapter that bolted to his rim. Then, he could place olympic style barbell weights on the adapter and lock them in place.

Search all post. This one was a couple years ago.

Thought about this. Seems it was for a Kubota B2150, and a guy named Mike. He had a hoe for it. Also had a web page of his own. Has not been on TBN in 4 or 5 years.

The way he did it though, looked like a factory job.

Ironic; I was just talking to someone who bought a tractor with lifting weights on the rear tires; half an hour later I read this.
I need to add weight to my Kubota when I have the logging winch on, so this is very helpful.

The post by Mike can be found here, if you haven't found it yet.

I love this group! You have likely given me what I need to do this.

Searching on wheel weights originally gave me nada helpful. Go figure.

One thing I noted--ezweights.com, referenced by MikePA in that referred post thread, is gone. Anyone know where they or something like them is now?

The idea in one of the referenced threads about using a sideways "T" to tie in to a three hole "triangle" config (such as on my tractor--each three-quarter inch hole is 14" fr the other and 8.125" from the wheel center) is great. That way I could use the Dick's SGds weights (or used ones fr Play It Again, etc).

Or I could put in some carriage bolts and press out a three hole template onto a piece of plate steel that could then hold the next weight and so forth.

Will be working on this, more ideas welcome. Has everyone seen the discussion on fluid vs weight farther up the forum, under owning & operating, I think?

Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
