I am trying to see how you anchored the 2x4's to the box blade but cant determine. Next to last picture appears to show bolt going through ripper into 2x4. Is that correct?

Exactly. Those are 3-inch carriage bolts, two large washers, and a locking nut.

For my use, a little play with the ripper while unloaded is not problem. Loading the coral panels onto the system allows the wood to sway left or right as the ripper moves slightly. This helps to make the loading easier. When everything is loaded onto the wood support arms, the weight keeps things from shifting around. My farm has rolling hills, nothing has ever fallen off nor shifted with this setup.

I posted the begining stages of this one a year ago on this thread. (and propably a few other times)
Kinda proud of this one.

Wow, that's sweet! Very professional. I assume that winch is hydraulic, possibly off a tow truck?
Also, it'd be great to have a link to the build thread on that FOPS

EDIT: Shoot, just looked at the date of that post!

What is the concern about the date of his post?

This thread started in January of 2014, good info is ageless.

Yes, noted. Just thought it might be a bit uncouth to expect a response on a post that's over a year old.

I love threads like this because I love building stuff out of steel. Here are a few that I have built in the two years I have had my tractor. first of all sorry for the sideways pictures, they were taken with my phone and uploaded to the site before I knew how to properly orientate them on my phone. The first is my attempt to turn my rear blade into a box blade by building removeable side plates. The second is a logging capstan winch/trailer mover. The third is a small land leveler/plane, and the last one is a root bucket grapple.

That's the ultimate redneck common sense innovation.

Clevis on the 3 point, I would have never thought of that. It looks like it should work well.

It does , it is free swiveling so it works in both directions . The tooth turns itself in the direction of travel when it engages the ground.
