Homemade snow plow mount?

No curbs near my house, LOL.
Gravel drive, (paved next year, hopefully) and mostly flat front yard.
The place I am most concerned with is next to the garage, where the snow slides off the roof, thaws and re-freezes. I'll keep that cleared before it becomes a problem.
Otherwise just frozen snow piles, where I'll be careful.

I use a converted scraper blade with hydraulic top and tilt. Have a Delrin lip for bucket and blade. I can float the blade or use the top tilt to break up hard pack. Blade was $200 at auction

Was just wondering same thing for my GC2410....I have a 60 inch moose ATV plow I have used in 8 years. Was going to sell it but if i could somehow mount it to my loader bucket I would have an awesome snow machine t go with my 60 rear snowblower. Any thought on how to mount this with out destroying or cutting either the snow plow or bucket?

Ive decided to abandon this for now because with my snowblower and this plow mounted my tractor would be over 30 feet long, I already have a problem with hitting my jeep in the driveway :( Instead I may buy the set of edge tamers for loaders and increase the capacity of the loader to hold more snow.

You didn't look at my thread did you....underslung plow mount. Mounts on the loader but pulls the pin location of the plow back closer to the tractor and lessens the overall length as well.

Excellent system, I may do the same next year but Im running out of time before snow comes. I will rework this next year. ...for now I just order 2 edge tamers from r2 manufacturers. The plow option would be soooo much better:)

I built a 2" receiver hitch for my boomer and the snowsport worked great. Then I made a mount for the RTV900 and that worked better...I had a windshield and more speed!

Next tractor to use it on is the Toolcat.

Just an update.
We got 8-10" of snow, so I tried it out. I need to do a modification.
The problem is that the 4x4 rides up in the back of the bucket. The bottom of the bucket isn't "square" there is a bit of an angle, so I'm going to try to trim the 4x4 to match, and I'm either going to add a couple uprights from the 4x4 to the top bucket lip, or put a "hook" under the bucket cutting edge.
I'm also going to add "wings" to lessen the windrows.
It pushes real good, the rubber edge clears the concrete apron at the front of my garage completely, it will be great when I get the rest paved, and it doesn't damage my grass. The uprights allow the blade to follow the uneven ground, and I can control the angle of the edge by tilting the bucket.
I was also surprised that I really don't need chains with turf tires. The only times I spun was when getting into the heavy snow pile and trying to push it further. I just lifted the bucket and pushed the snow over the top.
I was planning a weight box for the rear, and around 350-400 lbs, I think I'll hold off on that. Maybe just go 100-150.

If you can avoid driving into deep snow, those turf tires offer surprising traction. Also, if you have any uphill slopes, you may find that additional weight on the rear will make it light enough on the front that steering (controlling) becomes difficult -- and counter-productive.

Good advice. I'll build the weight box capable of holding 6 of those 35lb blocks, and experiment with the right amount of weight.

I have never found snow deep enough to have a problem getting through it with turf tires, on my GC.

And, I am pushing a 72" plow through 4' and 5' drifts.

I am certain it is the backhoe as ballast, that allows me to do that.

But, then again, I live where you are supposed too. Where the land is flat. :D

To the O.P.: A steel drum, adapted to mount on the 3 point arms, and filled with sand or concrete, is an easy ballast box.
