They are like any cut rate place, you have to check each item out before you buy it. Some are good and some are not.

<font color="red">"I also buy 19 cent screwdrivers and 99 cent hammers... " </font>

You think we could talk the gummit into buying those instead of the $300 hammers /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, $90 screwdrivers /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif and $200 toilet seats??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

With all the paperwork and records required by the government, you'd charge high prices too!

The stuff I usually buy are the consumables. $1 Duct tape, electrical tape, teflon tape ect... Seems to be okay.
They never have any of the tractor stuff when they have there sales around here. Usually one day deals.
Did buy a sledge hammer once. Still okay.

Homier was in town this weekend. For a change they seemed to have everything there that they had listed in their sales circular. I bought one of those winches that hook to your trailer ball and has clips that you clip directly to your battery. Every so often I have something that needs winching on to my trailer and I figured this would do the trick. I also plan on carrying in my Gator if I do some adventure riding. I remember when these winches were at Wal Mart and they were $129 and they are at Harbor freight for $49. Homier had them for $29.

Hey Andy-

I bought one of the $249 dump wagons. I've gotten it assembled and used it some for cleaning out the barn, and it seems to be worth the money.

As it comes, it only dumps to about 25 degrees. I drilled a couple of new holes in the frame and move the bottle jack that it uses for a ram back and now it dumps up to 45 degrees. I'm sure that this cut down my capacity, but I'm mostly cleaning out old manure/hay mixture from the barn and most of it isn't too heavy. I think it would be relatively easy to use a higher capacity bottle jack and get the 1-ton rating back (I don't know it it would really lift a ton or not).

As far as Homier goes, it seems that there are some good deals and some junk. I bought some of the 19 cent screwdrivers (and my 4 year old daughter swallowed on of the driver bits - but it passed!). I like the 99 cent hammers, although I have broken the heads off of a couple of them in the casual course of use.

Buyer beware, but there are some good deals to be had.
