Do like I did. I had the 16 foot door removed and divided into two separate doors. Now she has to stay on her side.

That makes sense to me. Now if I can only get her to open the door before starting her truck.

You guys won't believe this, but my wife has backed into the garage for over 25 years. Never a dent or scratch from it.

I started backing in for 2 reasons. 1) I'm usually more in a hurry to get somewhere than to walk into the house and I can just jump in and go. 2) Had a very small garage and had to share the driver door opening space with my roommate. Later on, my wife added this one: 3) If you are driving out, the odds of hitting a kid go WAY down.

I was mighty surprised when she backed in also the first time though (different garage by then).

You get a lot more room than I do, you have plenty, stop complaining:laughing:

Time for His & Her garages!

That is what we have. Actually it's her house including the attached garage :) The detached garage is mine.

May i suggest replacing that truck with something smaller, like a moped?

The solution I found is to build the garage on the other side of the driveway so her options are to park in the driveway near the house or walk further to park in the garage. Laziness wins out until the snow flies.

Good idea, I am thinking about getting her a compact car.

I was just thinking if you switched sides, her driver door would be on tractor side would have to move over to get door open.

I had to build one of these, cause she has the one takin up by the house and the kids toys and everything are always everywhere in it.

If I switched sides with her, she would park in the middle and I would not be able to get in.
