It all looks great! We met with the electrician today and did all the lighting. He is going to work up the lighting parts and tell us what types we designed so we can go shopping.

The roofers have just a bit left to do for the front porch roofs tomorrow, and then onto the siding. The builder figures about 5-8 days of siding work.

Found out the window guy made a few mistakes on ordering. The sun room windows were about six inches larger than planned (ok) and they all open the same way when one is not supposed to do that. So I told the builder to tell the sales guy its okay it just has to be free. Not sure how they are going to order the window, get it replaced all before the siding gets to that wall. Not my problem (yet).

I will take pics tomorrow since I wanted the roofing done with all the windows in place (done) before I took a pic. Maybe I will get some siding in the shots tomorrow.

Not sure about your questions for the front porch so I will post some detailed pics of the porch area tomorrow for you.

Woo Hoo, big time stuff going on the last couple of days. Final grading around the house and the driveway going in. Also drywall finishers are about done and the painters have already started spraying a primer coat upstairs. We'll be doing the ceramic tile work next week (another one of our own contributions to the effort) so things are really happening lately /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Our builder says we've had 40 loads of dirt delivered over the past several months. I'm pretty sure this dozer has eaten much of that since I can't tell where it's all gone. Such is the downside to building the house up out of the ground as much as we did /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Are all guys pyros? My wife just doesn't understand. Here's my last big burn of scrap from the construction. Our burn pile sits where the drive will be going through so any day now this will no longer exist. I celebrated with one of my biggest fires yet /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Lots of crushed concrete for the driveway. If I recall, there was a thread some time back mentioning "tailgating" materials. That's what they've done here. Basically, they chain the tailgate so it only opens so much (about 8" in this case). Raise the bed and drive forward. This guy made it look easy /w3tcompact/icons/clever.gif

The mowed path straight ahead leads to where my future barn will sit. The house is through the trees to the right /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Looking real good. They finished our roof today and will be doing the siding starting Monday (they figure about 4-5 days max) so by the end of next week I will have a real looking house done.

The builder has to frame in the garage door areas Monday and put on the porch decking as well. Then we won't see them for a while since the other subs will be there.

I took som pics of the porch area for you. We have a stack of cinderblock since they will be putting a cast stone surrond on it so add the "look" we wanted. But I tell you we are real close in style but yours is allot bigger than mine.

Did you ever show us the floor plan? I would like to see what the plans look like? The house looks great, really like the porch and the pushed out area on the right! Robert
