So thats it, how big of a tiller can you run on a B2920? I think the answer is like 48"-54"?

I ask because I borrowed a trailer from my brother to move my new B around a bit, and he also left his PTO tiller on it...but its a 72" (king kutter II). I would never expect the 2920 to be able to run this thing, its massive...but I have it at the house...and I need to till this new garden area I just plowed yesterday....will it work but just be slow going? will it break stuff? or is it just a waste of my time to even try hooking it up?

Matt, I have a B2650 that I think may be about the same size as your B2920. I also have a King Kutter 72" tiller from when I owned a 50hp L5030. I would think it is much too large for my B2650 and I don't plan on ever hooking it up. When and if I can afford it I will most likely purchase a King Kutter 48" - that seems about the right size for my PTO hp, even though it won't fully cover my tracks (I think it can be offset?). If you do get brave enough to hook up the 72" please let us know how it works and how much damage it does to your tractor.

What damage would it do?

I haven't got it yet, but have a new B2650 and several attachments coming next week and one of them is a 58" land pride rtr1258 tiller. I don't forsee any problems with the 2650 handling it. HJT

I wouldn't think it would break anything, just be a little slow going if the ground is really hard (dropping RPM on the tractor if you go too fast). If you've plowed the ground already, I don't think you would have any issues at all.

My biggest concern would be whether the tractor has enough oomph to pick it up. If it can get it off the ground, you're good to go! :)

I really don't know for sure - maybe none? My concerns would be overloading the internal parts of the tractors PTO drive mechanism and bending the lift arms if you weren't careful to drive in a straight line.

Please follow up and let us know how it works, I would like to get a 58" if it will work.

My BX2200 runs a 60" tiller just fine with 16hp at the PTO. Would think the B would handle it just fine.

I ran a LandPride rtr1258 with my b2620. It handled it with no problem. :cool2:

offset 48" tiller - $1095.95 I have the 5' model for my NH TC30, rugged and works well with my 30hp tractor
