How can a rifle smell like cigarettes?

Keep in mind, I smack back.... Besides you don't want to do that anyway as I'm always carrying.
I knew you would come back with something like that. However, you might want to remember as you pick yourself up off the floor that your hands are occupied with a cigar, and you weren't expected to get smacked. I would have empty hands and the forethought of what was coming, so as soon as I smacked you, I would probably have drawn my sidearm. Stupid acts like blowing smoke in someone's face aren't always shrugged off as accidents, nor reacted to as you might expect. I am fortunate to live around people who actually care about how they treat others.

You wouldn't get that far in the first place.... and it would be a non starter anyway because I don't blow smoke in anyone's face. That is just plain disrespectful and at 72 years young, I learned to respect my fellow man many decades ago. Its all part of being raised properly.

Problem today is parenting properly has become a lost art. I don't carry a 45 Kimber because I like the lump under my jacket. We will leave it at that.

I used to do computer support at the business where my sister was office manager.
( I got the work because I was cheap.)
So in the upstairs office where the accounting department was located, there were five women who were all smokers. The computers absolutely reeked of smoke and the insides were brown. I only ever brought one home to repair, after that I did all repairs onsite.
I even found a dead mouse that crawled into a 5 1/4" floppy drive once. Never smelled it, as it was probably overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. I think he died of cancer.
OK, that mouse story made me laugh. :ROFLMAO:

Oddest thing we ever found in a PC was a butter knife. My coworker found it. He asked the user and he denied knowing anything about it. So coworker points to the matching fork and spoon on his desk and says "Really." Guy fessed up. Said the cooling fan was making so much noise that he turned the PC on it's face and started poking the fan with the butter knife and lost his grip and it slid inside the PC. When he set the PC back down, it fried the motherboard. :ROFLMAO:

That reminds of the smell of.newspapers in my younger.days. They don't smell like.they used to and I miss it. Don't know whether someone changed the ink or my nose went out on me.
May have been when they switched from petroleum based inks to soy based inks. Both are oils, but smell different.

For a couple years I worked for the Health Dept in an adjoining county. One of the more distasteful jobs was recognition and elimination of marijuana and associated illegal drugs and all associated paraphernalia.

More than a few times this meant the total burning of a house. The house simply could not be brought back to safe living standards. So much MJ/drugs had been manufactured/smoked in the house - it soaked into the sheetrock - the carpet - even the wood floors and wood paneling.

There was this one house - a very nice farm house. Located out on the property and used for the farmers help. There was a brown ring around the ceiling. The ring extended down two feet from the ceiling and was in every room in the house. It looked just like a coffee stain.

Houses like this were so bad - everybody entering the house wore a full HazMat suit. You never knew if MJ was the only drugs used in the house.

Property owner legally notified of this condition - insurance company legally notified - fire department set the date - house burned to the ground - ash collected and properly disposed of at local landfill. This is a glossing over of the actual legal steps but does represent the facts.

I was so very glad I left the Health Dept in Anchorage BEFORE illegal drugs became a problem up there.
A good friend of ours had parents that were chain smokers their entire adult lives and lived in the same house for over 50 years. The interior appearance and smell was exactly as you stated. After they passed, both from lung cancer, they sold the house sight unseen for about $8000. I pity the person that rents that house from the slumlord that bought it.

Most smokers are considerate of others, whether in their home or car.

I never smoke in my car. One, it has no lighter or ashtray and two I can smell it in a car when I get in it and 3, it decreases the value when you sell it or trade it in. I have one of those air scent thingy's under the dash too, 'new car smell' to be exact. Besides, stogies really wreak, no matter if they are cheap or not. Most time I don't light mine, I just chew on the end.
