Met on a blind date while completing a mechanical engineering degree in Denmark 59 years ago. Been married 58 years this year. She was cute blonde blue eyes

Wife and I never dated. Just good friends in high school. She came up to see me in AK and I guess I spoiled her.

She sold everything she had and moved to Anchorage. We're both dating other people but we hung out. One day I just asked her what she was doing this weekend and if she wanted to get married. That was Jan of 97.

Downside is we both know alot of each others secrets since we were good friends. So we made a rule that what happened before marriage, stays there.

Had a similar experience when I met my wife's pooch for the first time.

She warned me that he only likes two men. Her oldest son, and her dad.

We walked in, and within about 30 seconds I was giving him a few scratches.

Sat down and was visiting with her dad when he hops into my wife's lap. He stays in her lap for about 20 seconds. Then climbs into my lap where he stayed for about 20 minutes

After that, he became my dog. He would hang with my wife, and still protect her. But if it was just my wife and I, he would curl up in my lap

I met my now ex-wife in bed.
Yep, first time I saw her she was in bed next to my mother.
Funny story that.












My mother was in hospital in a semi-private room and the ex was in the other bed.
After I left ma said she wouldn't stop asking questions about me.
Ended up dating about 7 years. Married 4.
I try and avoid hospitals if I can.

Met in high school. She was dating my good friend. He was kind of an a-hole to her, and I told him he was making a mistake and throwing away a "good" one. I was dating around and not at all serious with any of them. Knew I was headed for service right out of high school, didn't want any loose ends.

Long story short, when I rotated back stateside from Okinawa, I had some extra leave days to burn up, so started looking up old HS friends and ran into her. She was not seeing anyone and we started talking...

Poor girl's been stuck with me ever since. We'll have been married 36 years come December.

The best how did you meet story I know is my sister-in-law and her ex. They were volunteering at a community civil disaster training event. They ended up laying in the street next to each other, killed by the simulated disaster. When no one was looking they talked a bit and ended up exchanging phone numbers. They were together for years afterwards but never did get married.

I met my wife when I picked her up hitch hiking. It was a different era and a small town.
