Doubt that I can add anything that's not already been said....but here goes.
Built a shower in our basement. I'm on a well. I don't recall our pressure. My well flows over 100 gpm. A non-scientific test by me showed something like 25 gpm at my pressure tank.
Since I have the water, I wanted a really nice shower. Yanked some 1/2" pipes & upped both hot and cold lines to 3/4". I then bought the shower valves that were ALSO 3/4". The heads themselves might be 1/2" but I wanted 3/4" throughput as far as I could go.
I have a traditional showerhead, 3 body sprays behind (I put them in a manifold where they get even pressure). We also have a handheld.
You can turn them ALL on and yes....you can clearly notice a drop in the 'car wash' effect however, it's still grand.
I also pulled the water saver washers out of each spray head other than the hand held.
