How do I start a Ford New Holland 545d?

I brought the battery to a dealer and it passed a load test and the mechanic feels it should have enough guts to start the 545d. I think with the new solenoid and hooking up the condo's small pickup to jump the battery while cranking, I MAY get a little more success.

I hooked up the condo's Ford Ranger as a little extra battery support, I drained the old fuel and put fresh in and BOOOYA, she kicked right over. It sounds pretty darn good. I only ran it for about 2 minutes because I am not sure how the coolant level is. I will likely start a new thread tomorrow to ask some basic maint questions. Once I get one of the tires re-beaded, I will move it. Thanks guys for all your help. I am glad I found this site.

I came to this forum with a similar problem, but suspect the nuetral saftey switch in my transmission has stuck again
because I get nothing but dash lights when I turn the key and it ran good yesterday.

I could be your fuel is bad or not getting to all injectors.
You can crack open the caps at the engine and see if a little fuel leaks out.
Did you check the fuel and water filters?

TIP: Always warm up a diesel before using or it turning off

Not to be out done by RRRoger...lol lol I heard an old farmers trick was to put some diesel in a spray bottle..remove the air filter and set the bottle to "mist" and give a diesel mist when trying to
start a tractor where the fuel system has be "compromised?" instead of bleeding. I bleed my injectors and when I was about ready to use the bottle i told my assistant (wife) let me try to start it one more time
