How do you build a bridge over a creek for a Tractor

I'm in the same boat, but I want it to drive my Jeep over. My stream's about 4-5' wide and shallow. I asked my engineer buddy and he said 4-2X8 per beam would support the Jeep. I'll put 2 in the center to keep the bounce out of the decking when walking or passing with the 4-wheeler. So it'll be 10X14', with three beams, and 2x4 decking.

I've got 3 crossings I need to span / culvert.

Deepest is about 4-5 feet below ground level and about 3-4 feet wide. I took a day off work recently and lined it with the largest field stones I could gather up. It's doing "ok" so far but I wished I'd just put a culvert in.

Next one is about 10' wide and a couple feet deep and very soft - too soft to cross in my jeep most of the time (which just makes it worse) and way too soft to cross with the tractor. I'll prob put a few culverts in it as during a down pour there is LOTS of water run off through it.

Next one is about 3' wide with quicksand (basically) in the bottom. Buried my jeep in it once. Ain't tried to cross that one again lol.

Since the cost is close to the same I would use wider deck boards such as 2x8 instead of 2x4.

I am looking for one now to use for a ditch crossing. Most of the older ones I use to see have been hauled away when scrap prices went up.

Since the cost is close to the same I would use wider deck boards such as 2x8 instead of 2x4.

I ended up using 2X6 decking, 2x8 framework

...oh, and the Jeep's sold, so this is only for the wheeler so it got scaled down. 6' wide, 12' long.
