And, by the way ... I still prefer my fuel caddy :)

But, it would be nice to have an auto-shutoff. It is quite easy to overfill the tractor if you're not paying close attention. Maybe one of the Northern Tool nozzles will fit this thing.

The pump does work in both directions, however, so it's quite easy to siphon fuel back into the caddy.

I don't post much but after reading this thread I need to. When I read Fred's comment I laughed so hard snot came out of my nose. You guys are taking this way to serious. You read Ferds comments and think its funny. See any similarity Fred (removed)? Now we have taken this thread to whole new level. Lighten up man, nobody needs to be called POS for humor. Remember there's no emotion in texting.
I burn 15 to 20 gals of fuel most every week. We have a big time on fri nite. We go to Walmart, fill up cans and go out to eat. That keeps me going all week. Called a out bulk but the delivery fee for less than 200 gals ate up the tax savings.

Got the same caddy, and the same problem overfilling that is why I want to get the HF transfer pump for it.

Well I'll post hopefully my last post on another thread that is out of control like many on this forum. I posted good help for the original poster. If you heat your home with heating oil why not use it for your machine? I have for many years with no problems. I posted the welfare thing to bring attention to all of those folks who post BS and chit chat to muddle up the original posters thread...EVERY TIME!

Threads in my opinion should be open to those posting help for the OP and NOT throwing in stupid comments and questions NOT pertaining to the OP question. Bottom line if you can't post pertinent info for the OP then stay off that thread until you can. There is simply NO need for 9 pages of crap to filter out to find the answer to the problem.

I might recommend for the moderators here a chatbox setup at the top of the forum to alleviate the congestion of those using this forum for simple talk that would be better left to a chatroom or texting.

To be clear I am NOT on any sort of govt help and never have been. I am not liked on this forum because one of my first posts I ***** on my own tractor because I don't like it so I offended those here that wear orange lipstick. That being said many here are judgemental of others, whatever I tend to be the same way it's one of my bad points.

Here's a proper post:

Original poster-Is there a place I can have my hydro oil analyzed so I might extend the drain interval?

Proper answer- Yes so and so company here the link.

Another good answer might be a link to why the OEM wants the hydro oil changed at such and such an interval.

Poor answer- How mush to change the oil? (folks this is a really POOR answer and is best left to yourself).

Another poor answer- Why did you buy a hydro tractor that takes special oil anyway? (ME-Really? I mean come on guys get with the program).

This is such a huge forum and so out of control. Hardly worth the time to filter out the garbage, why not clean it up?

Good day, Fred

PS-to the original poster I appologize for mucking up your thread!

Keep up the postings. Yours was a good idea that probably beats the delivery cost and cuts down on the number of tanks.

When I was growing up, we used fuel oil for heating. It was on a raised platform {no basement} so we had to stand with one foot on the tractor tire and the other on framework of the platform to work the push/pull pump. At 15 that was no problem. Wouldn't won't to try it at 52 though.

Don't bother. He won't get it. Trash never realizes that it is trash. Usually their parents were free-loaders, their siblings are free-loaders, and they raise their children to be free-loaders. When that is all you know, it seems normal. They wouldn't be such a problem if they didn't breed but, unfortunately we give them more money for every litter they have, so they tend to multiply like rats.

Man I got to tell you. You get the metal for bravery. I'd have to shake your hand if you were here. Yup it's not what most would say but by God we're all thinking it  Hands down the best response I've ever red on the net.

Granted his comments are just there to get a rise from folk, but I never pass up an opportunity to try and spread the word that those of us that pay, need to stand up and quit paying.

Sorry to OP for joining the off-topic discussion.
