How do you reduce the PIA of greasing?

I have the lock n lube on my fixed tube gun and it works great most of the time, a few times the little release lever gets in the way. I have ordered the Univer-co for my flex tube gun to see if it will get in places the LnL will not. $30 free shipping (EBay $32 at Amazon), so same as Lock n Lube. Pricey to put on a $16 gun but I will see if it is worth it. I think Lock n Lube is worth the price, but then I am a guy who bought a pressure release gadget (releases pressure from hydraulic hoses- no cloth and hammer needed) from George Waite for $35 and I think that is worth it also.

For those of you doing lots of greasing and lots of money, try this one. Only $295 at Amazon and comes with a LocknLube coupler. It is a bulk grease dispenser (holds equivalent to 20 tubes of grease) with foot pump action.

Yep it is the LockNLube: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/oil-fuel-lubricants/304889-locknlube-cupler-grease-gun.html and: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/307933-review-locknlube-grease-gun-coupler.html

I put one on a hose, on the 10,000psi lever gun, normally you can't use a hose on a lever gun

You can put a hose on a leaver gun, I have been using lever guns with hoses for over 45 years and my dad did it before that. We never had a problem.

Two questions: How does it lock on and how much did it cost. I see it is made in Canada so not likely available in the states.

Pushes on like a spring loaded air or hyd QD as long as you hold from the back of it. To remove, grasp just in front of the larger ring and pull back. Easy 1 hand operation and only a mm or two larger than a conventional end.

Yup, made in Canada. No idea on US availability. I'd been looking for the LockNlube for a couple years and couldn't find it up here and finally came across this and am very happy with it.

X2 on the flex hose on a lever gun. I've been doing that for 30+ yrs and no idea how many yrs Dad was before that.

I would like to know how you hold the grease gun, operate the lever with one hand and hold the coupler at the end of the hose with the other hand.

Rest the barrel on the machine, crook of the elbow, on your bent leg close to the hip. Long hose is a big plus. Really isn't difficult, just not as handy as a pistol grip. The lever style usually delivers more pressure, and often more grease per stroke. A decent 4 jaw coupler will stay put most of the time if you don't put side pressure on it. If there were more decent quality gun couplers available, a high dollar lock'n lube wouldn't be so popular.

I have never had anything but a hose on any of my lever guns.
I generally use 2 hoses with a coupler for the extra length.

All you need is to have the coupler straight, you don't have to hold it, you don't have enough arm to hold it on anyway. That is why we use a coupler.

Exactly as RickB said. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever used a grease gun with a solid pipe.
