This may be a dumb question but I'm looking for suggestions on how to move a pull disk from place to place.
My Father-in-law has an OLD disk that was his dad's. I want a new one but it would be cool to keep it going. There are no wheels to lower it to move it around without discing your way from place to place, field to field. Any ways to use the 3Pt and lift it?

Before three point hitches were so common, there were these implement carriers:

You might find an old implement carrier, like the above, in back of someone's barn or field.

Now, I would use a trailer.

A trailer.

How big is the disk?
Small enough to suspend from a loader or set of forks?
How far do you need to go?

Is the "pitch" of the disks adjustable? It may be possible to straighten the pitch so they don't tear up the soil, just puncture it, when you move it place to place.

We just set the disks straight and pulled it all over the farm.

We just set the disks straight and pulled it all over the farm.

That's what we did if it didn't leave the property. It just made small grooves. Just dirt, no rocks or gravel. An implement carrier was used for public road travel.

As long as it's dirt, just like this. Set the gangs at zero angle and the disks just don't go into the ground.

Thanks Guys....It's a 6ft. The disc are adjustable but no easy task as the adjustment screw is worn out. I could manually move them though I believe. It also has 2 frames attached together with a pivot. I guess dragging it around won't be too bad as it won't be leaving the farm. I was wondering if there was a quick/easy way to pick it up and move it if need be.....I could probably separate them and use the bucket or forks.
