How far to the nearest grocery store?

Yep Been there. Long, Long Ago,

I have a book about the Narrow Gauge RR that went through Dulce. It's running again as a tourist thing.

Think I have posted a story about being there in the Cowboy thread.

Couple of pictures of me and 1 of my Uncle.

Go through Cuba every two years going to Sante Fe.

Small grocery is 6 miles away- just built 4 years ago. Full size grocery is 16 miles away. Hardware 6 miles. Town shopping 16 miles. Convenience store 3 miles.

5 miles to convenience store, 17 to a real store, and 26 to Walmart.

I was out in the boonies until they all came to me. Now Everything is within a 5 miles. Super Walmart, Home Depot, Costco, Grocer stores, restaurants. the whole gang came to me.

Good and bad about that, my land shot up through the roof.

Got a gas station half a mile from the house. Wal Mart is ten miles away.

4.5 miles to fuel, 5 miles to Wally World, Fast food, shopping center and Home Despot Nearest Tractor dealership of any kind 35 miles. TSC 35 miles. Nearest Metal dealer 35 miles. Branson has more restuarant's, Hotels, and Music shows than anywhere I know, But if want a piece of steel, I don't know where to buy it anywhere very close. Except for the rip off bins at Home Depot and Lowes, and that is just little stuff.

I'm 10 miles from everything I want and 25 miles in the other direction from mostly everything I don't want. I figure if you don't live on a dirt or gravel road, you aren't truly in "the country." Also, if you can get a pizza delivered to your house, you're NOT country.:laughing:

20 miles to nearest grocery, but prefer to drive the 40 miles to bigger city where there is everything: Costco, TSC, Home Depot and better hardware suppliers, Walmart, and numerous excellent groceries. I do it about once a week, it's an all day affair.
