Bird I'm wanting to build Miss Glenda a pedicab like they had in Nam. I've started collecting those Walmart mountain bike parts so I can use the rear suspension for front suspension on the trike. That way we can still do our bike riding and walking even though she and the dog aren't quite the troopers they used to be.
We had a day with the VA a couple of weeks ago where there was some concern about my heart. The consensus seems to be now that it's COPD and some head treatment is needed. I have friends that are in the mental health system and find sitting across from one professionally disconcerting, keep thinking about the guy who becomes a welder so he can make his own projects.......

Harvey, Margaret has had COPD for quite awhile now. She uses the Spiriva Handihalers and Advair every day, with the Albuterol Sulfate in the nebulizer "as needed" and she rarely uses that. Naturally, those things were prescribed by a specialist that our family doctor sent her to. She went every 6 months to see him the last few years, but when she went earlier this month, he decided he shouldn't need to see her again for a year.

Good to see you are recovery from surgery. My 78 year old father in law had triple plus a valve repair on Christmas Day 2015. Probably not the best time to have it done, but he has done fine since, and plans to move back to Texas from Missouri.

Alan, glad to hear your wife's dad is doing well. Apparently he's a couple of years older than I am, and with the valve repair had even more surgery than I did. I'm just getting older, weaker, and lazier all the time, but no more chest pains even when I overdo it working in the yard in the heat.:laughing:

Its good to hear from you Bird. I agree - I too, seem to be getting older, weaker & more inclined to the Lazy Boy recliner. Its kind of strange - the mind remains young but the body still ages. Take care of yourself.
