No, because not everyone is asymptomatic. If it was here earlier, rather low odds it only was asymtomatic people that had it.

Most people here in PA are under house arrest. I heard its real effective in MI.

While that is a likely true statement as far as it goes, it only goes so far.

It's probably a safe bet that MD does not currently know everything that eventually will be known about when the virus arrived in state and who all perished from it.

^^ See, that's the thing, a lot of people (most, by far) that get it, don't get 'really sick'. It's only those that are already weakened or compromised by other factors. So, it COULD have been circulating for quite a while before ever getting into the nursing homes and other places. No one knows, because no one was looking for it. Indications are that it isn't really worse than most other bugs, but the media hype has blown sensible thought out of the water.

you do, you can choose not to go back to work but when the unemployment office finds out that you chose to not go back to work, not only will they cut off your unemployment, but you will have to repay the unemployment that you were paid from when you were called back until they shut it off.
At least, that is how it works here in New York.

That’s very true. If 125 years ago we put a car in everyone’s garage, the death by automobile accident line would be a vertical line, too.
Corona is a “ novel “ virus indeed. There’s very little research and data available so the surprise attack naturally results in a spike in deaths. Weve never seen it before.

He might. His “fear of getting CV” is enough to qualify to draw unemployment even if they quit their jobs. The COVID stimulus bill added $600 per week which will last for 4 months if not renewed.

There is concern it is going to complicate reopening many businesses because the employees, making more money being off, will not want to return. And because their fear of COVID is accepted they may still get paid the UI benefit.

Memo from HR lists the following as possible reasons to refuse return to work

Over 65
Live with someone over 65
Underlying Health Condition normally not Medical Leave Eligible.
High Risk Travel
Concern about being in the workplace...

The last one would seem to leave the door wide open
