Perhaps it is just me, but it seems like many dealerships are a lot more willing to sell something than to deliver it. How long do you folks think it is reasonable to wait for an attachment that is in stock, and fully assembled. This last one did require the pto shaft to be cut, but they had the dimensions. I don't want to be unreasonable, but when you write a check for $2,000-$5,000 you would think it would be worth delivering promptly. My experience doesn't support this though. I certainly would be willing to pay a delivery charge if they are just waiting for several other things that they haven't sold yet to come my way. I am 25-35 miles from any dealership, and I know that has an influence too....

That sounds ridiculous to me. If you were 2 or 3 hours away maybe I could understand the delay. What story do they give you?

You probably should have asked when they would deliver it when you bought it.

Are you sure that they plan to deliver it? Maybe they think you are going to pick it up yourself. I know that I've always picked up attachments myself. Maybe it's just mixed communication?

at work we order kabota parts once tehy said they would be overnighted, 5 days later still noting we called the dealer tallked to the bose he said who helped you, we replied witht the name then he said im very sorry hes a screw up aparently he did not press enter or some thing on the computer. could be a similar situation, after that parts were there withing 48 hours

IMO, 3 to 5 days would be acceptable for me.

If I were a dealer and made that sale I would do all I could to deliver in 1 to 3 days.

How long have you been waiting.??

Most of the time I pick them up myself including tractors as I live about 80 miles away.
I would think delivery for a non essential item 3 to 5 days is about right. If you are close maybe less.

Why not pick it up on your truck or trailer?

My magic number is two weeks! I know, its long but after that, you have very well shown that you were patient!

I don't have a truck, or trailer...... spent the money on my tractor. :D My son, and neighbor offered theirs, but both are just a hair small, and I don't want to bang up their trucks. I was assured that delivery would be no problem both before the sale, and at the sale when we went over it again. When the deal was done, I asked when the delivery might be, and was told that they would have to check with the delivery guy's schedule. They didn't seem busy, and it's sure not their busy time of year so I guess I assumed (bad, I know) that it would be a few days at most. I guess the poster that mentioned two weeks is perhaps right, and I should be patient since it's only been a week (well, 8 days) so far from this dealer. I guess I'm just a bit frustrated. It sure is different than buying a new car, furniture, or appliances though. The dealer that I bought the tractor from is very good about such things, and always knows "when he might have truck headed my way". :D

Chuck...I would be frustrated too. That sort of bs really irks me.

2 to $5,000 is not pocket money for parts. Apparently customer service is not their priority.

Take note next time.

Chuck, if it has been eight days give them a call, most likely has slipped someones mind.

Yes, I'll check on it in the morning. The dealer is an old time dealership, and has good people to talk to. My grandfather did business with them. The Kubota dealership in the same town is the same way though. They never know for sure when they might have a truck headed your way. I was thinking about upgrading my garden tractor later, and I need to find out what is going on with this before I talk to them about the garden tractor.

With the crazy weather we've had this year the fall harvest is still ongoing. I wouldn't be surprised if your dealer is covered up with service work. If thats the case he still should have called you.

So...has it been a day or a week or a month?

Dealership I purchase from will roughy give date, and they been darn close last 16 years..if something should pop up and can't make the date dealership calls.

Seasons might play roll in waiting time..like they say"Balls to the walls than nothing happening"

Purhasing tractor or attachment dealer doesn't have in stock the custom may have more waiting time until next delivery from the plant..I waited extra couple weeks for fel.

I would give sale person jingle and ask for update.

I talked to the dealership this morning, and they will be bringing the snowblower today. I'm hearing disabled, a gift from long ago, and far away, and I had asked them to call, and leave a message if there were problems, and they apologized for not doing that. It seems with our first real snow storm last week they had a bunch of work with their commercial accounts... Anyway, thanks to everyone for letting me vent a bit and for helping me keep my patience. I had waited a month from another dealer a couple of years ago before cancelling the order, and didn't want to go down that road again.

Looking good and I would guess that the price was maybe closer to the 5k range? Next time let me know I have an 18ft. trailer in a town 45 minuets between two Kubota dealers!:;)
