Now if it's economically feasible.

Well, I hope your pockets are deeper than mine! I looked into it for my Pasquali and it was WELL north of $500.

Not happening...

I've got this nagging feeling that our little streak of mild winters may be over. It's colder earlier than it has been in years, and this is the first time in 4 or 5 years that we've had permanent snow before Christmas. Or even in December, for that matter.

So, I dug the old Heat Houser out of the rafters in the garage and put it on today. I've had it nearly as long as I've had the tractor, but haven't put it on since probably the mid-90's either because I was plowing with a truck, or it just wasn't cold enough to bother. For the last couple of weeks, we've been struggling to hit 20º most days, and single digits overnight.

Makes it a bit of a PITA to get on and off the tractor, but it's MUCH warmer once that cold-hearted ol' diesel warms up. Also blocked the bottom 2/3 of the radiator with a piece of cardboard.

Woke up to 2-3 inches down, probably another 8-10 to fall and winds picking up later today. Hope the inch or so of rain they were calling for on the weekend doesn't happen. I will need to make sure everything is well out of the way though in case it does rain and then freeze, that'll be it until April / May of next year so I'd better be happy with where the piles are....

First winter in the new home and still figuring what we will need to balance efficient plowing while still having good seat time. South Jersey is not in a heavy band by any stretch but have already had over 10" so far and we are not officially in Winter yet.

This looks pretty cool but takes away all of the fun.

We got another 8+ overnight into midmorning. Nice, light fluffy stuff, easy to blow. And blowing with the heat houser on was MUCH more comfy.

Still snowing a little, but don't think it'll accumulate enough to bother with. Do have some detail shoveling to do as soon as I can tear myself away from the computer...

You sure are getting your share of the snow over there Downeast. I don't think we got an inch here. It will be interesting to see what Friday through Monday brings. The forecast has all sorts of precipitation in it for us.

I guess we are trying to make up for didn't come late summer and fall although that foot of snow Sunday probably didn't have an inch of water in it. My rain-fed pond is down 6'. I didn't think it would ever go into winter not full. Fooled again by Mother Nature.

It is a bit unusual for the coast. Fairly often, what is snow inland a mile or two is sleet or freezing rain right here by the water.

We had an awful wet Spring and cold too. My garden was a complete disaster. Again...

Well I'm back into action if only in a bailing wire and chewing gum sort of way. Here are the before and after pictures.
