That certainly does bring back memories, Rat. You got a big enough cup, tractor and 4-in-1 bucket to wear that signature? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just over 300 hours added in two years on a JD4300. No mowing unless you count brush hoggin too. The Yanmar (1500) will get the mowing hours from my wife mostly...she works harder than I do...yep I'm a lucky man.

My 4600 gets about 700 hours a year on it. It's used everyday for chores. I can't believe how well this thing is holding up. I abuse the heck out of it and it's still going strong with over 2000 hours on it. Knock on wood no repairs yet.

I am at 50 hours after owning my L3830 for 9 months. I use it for finish mowing, bush hogging about 10 acres and some light box blading when the chance comes along. No snow removal needed here is Mississippi!!

Looks like I might be the low hour king. I just made my 30th payment and my hourmeter shows 96, so less than 40 hours per year.

To be fair, I rarely shred, just don't have the need. I do mostly loader and boxblade stuff (about 2000 rpm avg) and a little bit of post hole digging. So I'm on my tractor a bit more than that.

Although this is far fewer hours than I expected to put on the tractor, I use it frequently and whenever I need it. The time savings are tremendous. I've also done quite a bit of dirt reclamation and transport for my yard and have no doubt that I've more than paid for the depreciation on my tractor in work and product output.

When I casually mentioned to my wife that soon I might have little need for my tractor she glared at me and said in no uncertain terms that the tractor will NOT be sold. Not that I had any intention of doing so, but a quick test of the waters is always informative. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You know John, just the convenience of having it around has immeasurable advantages. I suppose whether I put on 25 hours a year or 700 hours like CowboyDoc does, the added value of always having it there just to use it to lift a heavy object out of your truck if it's equipped with a loader or moving a pile of dirt to whatever else you find advantageous ti use a tractor on can be all the reason one needs to justify having it. Heck, if it's just something you always wanted, that should be enough. Rat.
