I just replaced the dynamo (5 amps, 60 watts at 2500 rpm) on my K7100 with a 20 amp, 240 watt, Kubota alternator. It was necessary to run the electric air fan on my cab heater retrofit. I also run 3 -3amp bulbs, 2 wipers, a strobe and a dome light plus an electric coolant pump easily with that alternator. I had to fab up a set of brackets for the alternator mounting and modify the hood as well as re-config the exhaust to vertical vice the horizontal position to fit it in. My battery always shows a full charge now. it was a lot to do, but not difficult, except for loosening the seized manifold bolts, That took a OA torch and some repeated hot-cold cycles to get the bolts out without breaking them. It can be done. LEDs do use less power, but my loads were still outside the capacity of the dynamo, so I had no choice but to reconfig the electric system. It works fine now.:tractor::dance1:
