Getting a tractor without FEL is like getting a car without AC..

I have four Massey compacts and all have loaders. One has the backhoe and the others just have loaders. They all have a variation of quick attach buckets. The two 1528s have buckets that you take out two pins and off comes the bucket. The 1260 and 1635 have skid steer type plates on the loader frame.

I used to think that loaders were nice but not necessary. After finally getting one installed I decided that they are just too handy to not have. I also have fork attachments and had a boom made for the 1260/1635 tractors.

As I get older I find that using the bucket for lifting and carrying is the greatest. When splitting firewood, if I have a chunk bigger than I want to wrestle on the splitter I can pick it up with a set of log tongs and set it on the splitter. What a back saver.

2 tractors, 1 with FEL, 1 without for mowing around trees. My first had the FEL, would not have just 1 tractor without an FEL.

I have been around / operated tractors in all kinds of conditions / situations for the last 45 + years, I will not be without a FEL again.

One tractor, One FEL. I do not know what I would do without it. I can always find a use for it. For me it sure beats all the heavy lifting that I did with my back....

I wanted an FEL for years, my wife said we don't need it..............

Now we have one...........I don't think she'll ever part with it.(she found out why I wanted one):thumbsup:

I have a FEL on my tractor. The question is really to quick attach or no quick attach, I don't have QA but wish I did

I have a QA Front in loader and have never taken it off in the 4 years and 270 hours I have owned it. But I am not a farmer and I would think there are times it would get in the way. This is not my first Tractor just the first one with a helping hand on the front.

We had an older tractor for 4 years, without a loader. We used a back blade and rear scoop to get by, but it is amazing how much more productive you can be with a loader. I'm not a farmer and I don't use the tractor for business. I think back to what I did without a loader and I wish I had one for it. Not only would it have been done faster, but I probably would have done it the way I really wanted to because I have the ability to do it. All this said, having an FEL can turn projects that may have taken some time into something that requires almost no time, to the point where it seems like you bought a Ferrari to commute back and forth to work a 1/2 mile away. All this depends on how you intend to use it too. If you're moving lots of stuff, or would like to move lots of stuff, it's a no brainer.
