We had an older tractor for 4 years, without a loader. We used a back blade and rear scoop to get by, but it is amazing how much more productive you can be with a loader. I'm not a farmer and I don't use the tractor for business. I think back to what I did without a loader and I wish I had one for it. Not only would it have been done faster, but I probably would have done it the way I really wanted to because I have the ability to do it. All this said, having an FEL can turn projects that may have taken some time into something that requires almost no time, to the point where it seems like you bought a Ferrari to commute back and forth to work a 1/2 mile away. All this depends on how you intend to use it too. If you're moving lots of stuff, or would like to move lots of stuff, it's a no brainer.
