I guess I'm the one you heard of, I can't stand that they give away loaders now days to entice buyer. I've tried asking for a discount on some new tractors since I didn't need the loader. IN MY opinion only purpose built backhoes need a loader not these small farm tractors it messes up the center of gravity when brush cutting on hills. it also makes the tractor to long front to back when mowing in tight places.

Agreed, so I remove my loaders when doing these things; takes less than 5 minutes. I do however find the FEL provides good counterbalance when going up steep hills.

I went out to buy a FEL and they included a Tractor.

Three tractors. 2 are 2wd, one with FEL. The first is fourty horse, the second is 60 horse. The third is 4wd with quick attach loader. The third is only 25 horse and does more work then the other two. Quick attach loaders are the way to go.:thumbsup:

I have one tractor and one loader. It's the main reason I bought the tractor. It's a quick attach loader but I don't think I will ever take it off.

The point of buying my first tractor was to have a ride on wheelbarrow. It also had the front wheel assist (4X4) which came close to doubling productivity, my opinion. Next tractor was the same but bigger with power steering, third tractor same but bigger yet and cab.
I tell people that having the tractor with FEL is like having four big strong friends that don't get tired and don't drink any beer:laughing:.
I can drop the FEL in about five minutes, put it back on in maybe 6-8 minutes. About the only times it is off the tractor is to mount the snow blower or if the ground is really soft and I want to lighten the tractor for mowing. I have a ballast box weighing ~850lbs to put on the 3PT when doing serious FEL work.
