Anyone have any firm quotes on a BX22? I saw one quote of about $14,500. This means the hoe (and brush guard) costs almost $4,000. That seems like a lot.

marrt, I'm guessing that quote was about right. Without my even asking about a price, my dealer made a comment about the BX22 while I was looking at it that they would sell for about $15,000.

Bird, that means with an additional $1500 or so for a 60" MMM, a total package price would be about $16K before taxes. Is it just me or does that seen high? I was hoping the BX22 with a 60” MMM would be about $15K or so. Given that a FEL costs about $2K on a BX, I was expecting the Hoe to cost about $3K, not $4K. I think Kubota has missed the sweet spot on pricing the BX22.

I'm so old that everything seems high priced to me./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif But shop around and see how many new backhoes you can buy for $4k; not many that I've seen./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I'm shopping a BX22 right now with a 60" MMM. I've been quoted $ 17,100 out of a dealer in Delaware, $ 16.800 out of one in Arkansas, and my local dealer is at $ 16,500.

My local dealer is the best price to date, but 4.5% Sales Tax (VA) takes all the fun out of it.

Still, when you look at what the new John Deere TEN series tractors cost to equip similarily, you be several thousand less with the Kubota. I like the Deere's but am not willing to go into the low $ 20K range for one set up with a JD Backhoe. The Kubota backhoe attachment for $ 4K is quite a bargin, and it's integrated into the whole tractor, no add on valves or frame mods required.

I'll most likely be ordering a BX22 very shortly. Gotta take a quick look at the Boomer series from New Holland though......just to make sure.

I just traded my BX2200&FEL in on BX22. It was delivered Fri. afternoon. Dealer list was 17,000+,,dealer was asking 15,540. This machine had turf tires and 4 position loader valve. I think I made a good deal with my trade in.
I haven't had much time to "play" with it yet. Did try the backhoe, dug a small trench. Really need some real work to test it. Removing the backhoe was pretty straitfoward and easy, once I understood how it worked (the instrucions are printed on a label on the backhoe). The 3pt install was a piece of cake.
To answer some other questions I've read in this forum. The ROPS on the BX22 is folddown and much higher and wider than the BX2200. It really does not fold down ,but back at about a 90deg. angle, I suppose if you had a low garage door. The ROPS mounts completely across the back of the rear, not like the BX2200 with a mount on each side. When the seat is turn to use the backhoe the front attaches to catch that is part of ROPS. I took some photos, will try to post.

I ordered mine last week...$ 14,995 in NE PA, with bar tires, 10" BH bucket and 4 way valve. If you look at the other models, such as the 7500HST, the price of an aditional BH is over $ 5K, so I think that the price is reasonable especially if you consider that the base tractor is beefed up as well. The base tractor is 200+ lbs heaver than the BX2200. I'm not sure when I will take delivery, dealer said end April, but judging by the posts here seems like the '22s are starting to roll out quicker.

BTW I looked at what was comparable from JD. The closest offered was the 4115. The JD dealer said that a BH was not "yet" available for that model, and maybe later this year it would be ready. In any case the price w/o BH, and with 60"mmm and a front mt snowblower (which I ordered on the BX22) was over $ 6k more! I didn't think that the JD was as nicely put together. Interesting was the JD sales guy was recently at a JD sales meeting and he had a canned list of what were problems with the BX. 1) the seat belt may ratchet in on you in bumps and become too tight, 2) the fuel filler was not on the hood where "most" people like it, 3) the rocker pedal for the hst is not comfortable to use and your heal can get tired if you do a lot of backing up, and 4) the FEL joystick is too high and your arm may get tired with a lot of FEL work. I said to him "Is that all you could come up with ?" That was the final step that solidified my decision for the Kubota.

Techman, I've been sniffing out the BX22s lately and also live in NE PA. Two questions: what dealer did you purchase yours from, and what bucket sizes are offered? As I'll be using mine to dig out 50+ stumps (most under 5" dia) and light weight trenching, the smaller the better.

I ordered from Canns-Bilco in Alburtis.

Kubota offers a 10" and 12". I ordered the 10" since I am doing mostly planting and other light work. Also since the soil is full of shale, I felt a narrower bucket may have a bit better bite as well.
