Didnt intend to turn this into a bash, and jpr, I dont mind paying for services.
I do mind paying someone for time and ending up doing the legwork myself and getting billed for it. Being advised to do one thing until I was commited to cutting my losses, then being given a much better option that would have solved the problem without any extra expense to me after it was to late to exersize it.
Or on a long distance real estate transaction, have one call and read my wife the riot act because there was money owed. All of which was known about and discussed beforehand and he was supposed to give me a call with the final figure and I would cut a check. Oh yeah, then billing me for both calls.
Maybe thats just me though?
On the realtor side.
Bringing UNqualified people to purchase a house. Or should I say un qualed by a lender, qualed by a realtor. That cost me around a years rent because I had to get my tenant out and the buyer couldnt get a loan. Plus the mortgage that had to be payed of course. Reccomend that I make it HUD acceptable, (cost around 2000 + time). Then finally getting a buyer at a much reduced price in. Reccomending that I rent to them for a month while their mortgage goes through. They blow the boiler and I get stuck with another multi thousand cost because of how the realtor set up the lease.
Then we have buying.
Its real simple. I sign a contract with you to find me a property. My requirements are X Why on earth do I look at A through K after I have been crystal clear, verbaly and on paper that I want X and will agree to look at a range between W and Z
Then I am told that there are no W to Z 's out there and I need to look at A through K .
Switch realtors (for the 7th time) and am shown 3 propertys that are between W and Z within 2 weeks. Purchase a property that is real dang close to X , probably a XY within 3 weeks, on a cash transaction so that it was a fast garenteed 7% for the realtor.
BTW, I will be real happy to post that realtors name and reccomend him. He did his job, thats all I ask.
Maybe its just me though.
I dunno? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Is it wrong to expect people to do what you hire them for??? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Enough of this, the guy still needs a lawyer and a realtor. Just have him wear chain mail undies in case he doesnt get ones of the caliber that post on TBN /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
