Engine oil and filters at 200-250hrs and rear end filters every 1000hrs or so .

I'd always cahnge the filter when i did the oil.. and in your case, I'd do the tranny fluid every 2ys or 1200 hrs.. whatever came first.

Like Roy , I had never changed my coolant in seven years and 1075 hours. My bad, but it always looked clean and my tractor is kept in a garage that stays above freezing all winter. The recommended interval is three years.

That was on today's to do list. When I flushed the radiator and block with the engine running and hose stuck in the radiator cap hole per the instructions in the manual, not a speck of sediment, nor a drop of rusty water to be seen. The water was shooting out the engine block drain in a nice even, strong, clear stream.

I was thinking antifreeze and metallurgy have come a long ways since the 1960's.

That's something I want to check on more after reading the 'Which Antifreeze' thread. The manual just says 50-50 mix of distilled water and 'permanent antifreeze'. I bought the pre-mixed Prestone extended life stuff to avoid putting our well water in it. My guess is that if something special were needed, NH would have their own branded antifreeze and specify that.

The manual doesn't decribe the cylinder type, sleeved or parent bore, which I guess is what makes a difference for cavitation issues?
