How to get the end off this weird cylinder.

Anyone know the trick to getting the end off this?

I've found no snap rings, no pins, and only that one tiny hole in the face with that Allen head are in it.

Can find no vids or pics of this type.

Pull the bolt and washer out. Then hammer the gland in. This should expose a circlip inside that you need to take out. Then you can pull the rod and everything that comes with it out.

What he said, you may be able to press the gland in if you have something or rig it. My log splitter was just like that.
