? How to insulate/waterproof repaired underground power lines

We don't have any property insurance what so ever. I try and do things electricly (inside) as safely and to code as much as possible. But a while back I did a search for a system wide arc fault detector that might alert me to an issue. I suspect that I sometimes heard arcing on an AM radio, that might have been the underground conductors failing. Unfortunately, I could find no such animal.

Thankfully, Industrial Toys, nothing serious happened in your situation... But,, the potential was there.... The low resistance leakage current paths, line arcing between conductors and to ground may indeed had been going on for awhile caused by the dielectric break down of the wire insulation... It could had been worse...
