How to maintain wooded walking trails

I groom my walking trails in the winter using my atv on tracks pulling 3 tires (side walls cut out of bottom) with a 2x10 across the back. the 2x10 is 18" wider then the machine and has 45° cuts on both ends to help "bowl" the trail.

I find this works well to pull the air out of the snow and pack it down. its harder under where the tracks went, but even in the center people can walk

From the sophisticated or the wood pallet. I tried a lot of ways back at the camps, but grooming sled have being the best solution, you can add weight for a solid pack (walk over) or opt for ski track.
