I have that on my tractor.... I've used a strap wrench for the past five years...no problems getting it off and on.

It looks so nice and easy until you realize the two rubber lines run right down the ring making spanner or channel lock fit nicely. How'd you make out?

like them. Put your ratchet on cup type and presto
just like removing a bolt

That's great when the part the cup grips is threaded. This one isn't. Good in this instance for breaking the bowl and wadding up the o-ring if you're unlucky enough to have the cup actually fit the bowl.

I'm guessing the textured ring is unscrewed - is there a tool for this or do I just grab it with some channel-lock pliers?View attachment 712437
Channel locks 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Loosen by hand from there. The cup will likely stick in the housing because the o ring is old and compressed. Don't forget new o ring when reinstalling. Leave the aluminum ring a little loose and turn ignition to prime fuel through the cup. The you can probably hand tighten
