i know the 1850 has about 14 pto hp, but was wondering if it had enough power to handle a 48'' tiller and do a good job? i know a lot of you consider pto hp to be more important than engine hp, so basically if i am tilling old lawn, and old packed dirt, will it handle it ok, i relize i will probabaly have to use something like a middle buster to break up the lawn first. i know for the other implements i will probably use, it should be fine, such as a rake, a box blade and possibly a 3 pt. pto log splitter.

also according to the stats, the 1850 and the 2350 share the same Hydraulic stats such as lift capacity at lift point ( what is the lift point?) which is 992 lbs and at 24'' behind lp it is 661 lbs. is this the amount the fel loader can lift or is this a 3 point hitch stat?

with the FEL loader, can you lift and tilt at the same time? or and combination of lifting and lowering the booms and tilting the bucket. from me playing at the dealership, if i remember right, you can only do one at a time

i would also like to see some of the big projects that have been tackled with the smaller tractors like the 1500 and 1850 and such, a little assurance for me i quess, if im gonna make a purchase, i just want to be sure it is the right one.

The real world work capability of all the BX models is nearly the same and all will handle the BX rated implements quite well. If you have a need or simply want to run a 60" mower then the 2350 or 2230 would be a better choice and/or if you want a BH, the 24 or 23 is the most logical choice. Otherwise the differences are negligible. The BX models are quite capable machines and have surprised a great many owners but if your projects are large, expansive and you are short on time, the B series or larger would be a better choice.

If you check your owners manual you will find that the 18 HP BX will do everything as well as the 22 HP BX with the exception of pulling some ground engagement implements like ploughs. With regards to tillers you should check on the hydraulic flow the specific tiller needs to run it then compare with the flow delivered by the 18 vs 22 HP machine. The weight of the 18 HP machine isn't much less than the 22 HP machine therefore the 22 HP machine has no advantage there in holding a tiller steady.
