I might buy whatever I thought had the highest resale value. Or connect with someone planning a big purchase and make a deal. No sense adding 4.6 K of junk to your life, you don't need.

Alright, so this thread isn't about me or my wife's spending habits and how we racked up so much in Cabelas points..... I will get seriously depressed thinking about it.

I always thought I would walk out of there with a high grade heavily embellished 20 ga work of art for free!!!.. But haven't seen anything that really impressed me.





Do I hold out for a nice shotgun for pheasant hunting (my true love), maybe keep saving and get a smaller TYM tractor for the main house, maybe a 12' batwing that I've lusted over, a backhoe for my Kubota or one of those fancy seeders that "do it all"?

Already have boxblade, 8' land pride cutter and disc....

What would u do?

Interesting discussion as I was supposed to ship my Saur 20g for them to make an offer to purchase.
They had my Saur's twin which was listed just shy of $5,000.
Mine is skeet grade.
Never did follow thru as I was leery of shipping such value via UPS.

A nice shotgun, rifle or handgun for that matter would be a good choice. But why a 20 gauge? But if you are going hunting with the shotgun then I would think $1000 to $1500 would be about all I would spend. I bought a $1500 over and under one year and was afraid I would scratch it hunting, so I sold it.

I once owned a Browning 3" mag O/U 12 that I planned to use for geese.
Have U ever tried re-loading an O/U when in a sink box?
That O/U got sold fast and I changed for an auto5 Browning, nice gun and I bought it for $60.00 with 2 bbls, (one full and other mod) both with vent ribs.

I will take a look. I'm kinda picky and am looking for a demaskus steel with gold inlays of quail, pheasant, dog, etc,,, side by side or O/U

Do you mean Damascus steel?? Why would you want to go backwards? I would thing you would want something you could shoot, I mean with modern loads and that wouldn't be damascus...
