I found some stats for my ford tractor that rated engine HP at 35, PTO at 32 HP and drawbar at 20.5 HP. I understand engine and PTO are about right but why such a drop for drawbar?

Could it be a they listed the drawbar hp wrong. Were you looking on tractor data. com. What model Ford is it. I looked up the hp ratings on my ford and it showed 4 hp less on the drawbar than the pto. 15 hp difference is a lot.

That's probably a typo. When I was shopping, I found from the brochures that one CUT had an inside wheel turning radius of 98 feet -- with the brake locked. :)

I'd expect it to be about 23 hp at the drawbar. Really depends on what rpm they took the measurement.. and if that is a nebraska number.

A ford 660 with similar eng power has about 22.x hp at the drawbar.. etc.

They musta had bald tires on that Ford. ;-D

Some of the nebraska tests seemed odd to me.. they tested the 9n at a low rpm... showd way low hp on one of the tests..
