There's no abrupt stop on the HPX. Depending on the terrain, it slows down gradually like most vehicles would. I would recommend the diesel. It is very economical on fuel and has plenty of power. You can't smell the exhaust and the engine has a great sound.

I agree with Jesse. There is no harsh stop on mine either. If you let off the gas it just comes to a nice easy stop.
