AMEN Mark R!!

HST is the way of the future!!!

Debate closed.

:D Well I don't know if I'll go that far but I think you will definitely see it in more and more applications as well as in larger heavier duty applications such as the NH TV145 Bi-directional tractor.

Does the new unit come with a horn. I know the DK35 HST does - can't figure why the DK 45 with cab doesn't. I will probably wire one in.

The DK45SE has a horn so I would assume the cabbed version will as well.

Llloyd I was out in the shop last evening welding and I didn't enjoy the heat very much then either. I said to the customer who was there that I would like to look down the driveway and see at least four snow drifts.

I was also reading on this site that the heater isn't to good on these tractors if that's true. I'll have to wait and see I guess. No mention of a horn on the beast so I'll be doing that right away if it don't have one.

I just might look into a blower, thanks for the info. As for the specs for the cab on the new DK SEH it goes as follows:

Premium Custom Cab

- High Capacity Heat and Airconditioning

- High Visibilty glass

- Ergonomically designed operators ststion with convenient control location

- Suspension seat

- CD/radio combination with duel speakers

- Cell phone holder

- 12 volt connection with cover

- Tilt steering wheel

- Power steering

- Front and rear wipers

- Front and rear working lights

- Exterior and interior mirrors

- Three cup holders

- Telescopic three point hitch ends and adjustable lift link

- Rear aux three point hitch possition control

- Rear def lock

- One lever joy stick control

- Electronically engaged four wheel drive

- Electronically engaged PTO with automatic and manual possitions

- Oil cooler

- One set of hydraulic remotes.

Paul,

My cab has everything on your list except the cup holders, horn, CD and cell phone holder - unless the clip on one of the cab posts is considered that.

I wonder if the Cd player is quality in terms of handling the bumps and not skipping.

I need to find a high quality adhesive tape - double sided - to mount a few trays for holding the odd things; ipod, hour/job documentation book, registration/insurance papers etc.

Oh, did I mention the lack of cup holders and horn! :)

I picked up a folding cup holder from a yatch supply store and will be installing it tonight. It folds flat vertically when not in use. If the heater matches the AC in quality you will have no problem keeping warm. I usually turn AC on high and turn to low once I find my comfort zone.

Lloyd I've never seen a Cd player that worked right in a tractor yet. I don't mean these compacts I mean like the Cat 966, 988 or even the 992's but then again they do take some shock especially where I was operating in an iron ore mine in Labrador city.

Even on my GoldWing it didn't work great so I installed an Ipod because the Wings radio had an AUX jack which is about the best feature you could put on a radio these days and I just had to plug the Ipod into it.

I would say there's not much difference in the two cabs. I hope not anyway because I really like the cab on yours. I've seen the cup holders your talking about and there pretty slick and work well too!

Question: With the KL401 loader attachment. Would that come with a quick release bucket? If it does it would be great. I plan on adapting my Artic plow to the tractor and have the power angle work on it as well. the guy at the Kioti dearler said it does and that it comes with forks as well. They didn't mention that the one I'm getting had a horn but who cares now that I know it's got three cup holders :D Gee's by I had a Lexus in the shop yesterday and it only had two cup holders. :D :D

you should make sure to get a skidsteer style quick attach - might well be standard. For more info do a search, you'll see hundreds of posts on the subject.

KL401 has a skid steer type quick attach system. I currently use a bucket, forks and bale spear on mine.

Paul,

Yes I have a quick attach loader. Not sure if it skidsteer style. Angle form on top - two vertical pins bottom at sides. I bought a used set of forks which will be adapted for 3pt hitch as well as loader. - will post pics of project later - when I start it.

Any ideas on fluid film for protection. One of the things I did last night was greased every exposed nut & bolt - our salt air is corrosive.

I can't remember but does the KL451 loader have two levers to drop the bucket or one as opposed to one on the KL401?

Here is a pic from a few weeks ago. Forks I bought from Rick.

One lever (joystick?) to drop bucket.

Would you have a clear pic of your forks and attachment style? I have downloaded a number of images for reference - but more is always good.

My plan is to the the forks work on the loader as well as the 3 pt quick attach.
