I was surprised to hear this weekend that the US Navy was not getting all the ships underway in the Hampton Roads/Norfolk area. I wonder if they still think that was a wise decision this morning? Stay safe everyone. Flash floods may be the worst part of this storm for Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Banks.
Good Mornin Jim,
One of my friends from our volunteer FD along with his wife left on a cruise out of NJ, Royal Carribean I believe, on sunday afternoon. Even if they steam away from the storm going east Im sure they are going to run into 30 or 40 ft seas !
Supposedly the cruise lines will do everthing possible to prevent their ships from staying in port to minimize the chance of ship damage and also dock damage...
I wish them God speed !
