We are 80 miles North of the storm. As it moves toward us the wind is picking up, gust about 30 mph now and heavy rain. Total rain today at 10:00 PM is 9". We are on a hill so there is not a problem with flooding however we cannot leave because the roads are flooded. There has been no interruption of utilities.

TWC says 300,000 customers are without power. I have to wonder how many of them have generators, and how many of those generators won't run because they were not maintained or have no fuel. There was one video shot of a blacked out city, and there was not a single light showing in 100 blocks.
