I do believe the filters are the same on the 425 and 1430. While in Tazewell, they had mentioned the NAPA 1551 works fine. You can purchase about 6 of the NAPA filters before you would spend the the $50.00 min plus shipping.

JJ I suspect that the recommended change interval is when the filter is used on a return line, not a suction line for a variable displacement pump. With a variable displacement pump and a filter on the suction line it is critical that the filter have as little resistance to flow as possible to avoid cavitation in the pump--which can cause expensive damage.
