hydraulic hose assemblies

I don't know what the exact composition of the rubber is?

I have never been asked that before. i will ask the manufacturer and post reply.

Let me translate that to english for everybody:
I just sent an e-mail to my contact in China, due to time zone differences, when he wakes up and replies, I'll let you guys know.

For those of use who want to KNOW Exactly what specs a certian hose meets:
Weatherhead Hose: http://hydraulics.eaton.com/products/pdfs/W-HYOV-MC002-E2_Hose_40-81.pdf

Parker: Parker - HOSE

Sorry but hose is not "just hose". Just because it meets a pressure spec doesnt mean its correct. Can we over analyze, yeah we can...but at the same time IMO the cost difference between brand name hose and "bargain generic hose" is marginal when you factor everything in.

Our hoses has been proven in the field for years without any issues and we are constantly improving on product quality. We have used this hose for approximately 1/2 million oem hose assemblies and further we have supplied resellers to the big farm chain stores.

i gota say that while i do like the cost of the farmstore hoses, ie tsc, central tractor etc, all the ones i have ever had weathered alot faster than the name brand, gates, aeroquip, that i have used also. so not sure that this is a high quality hose comparable to the name brands. now having said that there are still places i do buy the cheap hoses for, places that often get damaged, or are infrequently used and stored under cover, for example my log splitter. looking at your website the prices are very reasonable even compared to the farm store hoses, but still im not gona run any of these off brand hoses in anywheres critical or hard to get to for replacement! i will stick with what i know lasts

hi markct

our hose is great for brushog, 3pt disk harrow, bailer, haybine, logsplitter, rotary cutter, snowplow, snowthrower, backhoe, front end loader (not those that come on huge tractors), cultivators, plows, skid steer attachments, balewrapper, mower conditioners, tedders, hayrakes, augers, seeders, planters, cutter mixer feeders, in general tractor attachments.

Our hose is not cheap it is inexpensive because you are buying factory direct not through resellers or brokers.

As far as Weatherhead hoses we think our hose assemblies are superior to Weatherhead because we skive our hoses. Meaning we remove the cover of the hose and we crimp the fitting right on to the wire insuring strong coupling retention.

Ever hear of a no-skive fitting? Pretty much what all modern hose manufacturers have gone to. Even the 4 and 6 wire hoses up to and over 6,000 psi are now no-skive and they hold without issue. Anyway, on a properly crimped hose, there is never an issue with coupling retention. And I mean never. Also, the major manufacturers have found that skiving will in cases reduce the service life of a hose. If the coupling is facing at any kind of a downward angle, rain water and moisture will gather inbetween the coupling and hose and rust out the wire causing the hose to burst. Caterpillar found this out on their 4,000 psi and up reusables. We started placing a bead of silicone where the collar ended to keep out moisture.

So, as far as thinking your hose is superior to the brand I sell, Weatherhead, you are dead wrong. You sell a cheap Chinese hose that you won't even give specs on. Please, either be straight-up or get lost. I'm getting kinda tired of you avoiding direct questions while claiming your product is better but giving invalid reasons.

Pressure Washer Hoses

i quote

"If you are working at heights, remember that all the weight of the pressure washer hoses when filled with water can be pulling on the hose fitting The best manufacturers sell pressure washer hoses that are skived before coupling. Skiving means the outside rubber cover is partially removed to allow the metal fitting to be crimped to the wire braiding of the hose. This process provides a solid metal to metal solution with good strength."

we do lots of pressure washer hoses and we get so many contractors tell us our hoses are excellent because ends never blow off like their previous suppliers hoses did. weatherhead has a compression style fitting which just does not hold up for hot water pressure washing, ends move or blow after time. a pressure washer hose operating at 3000psi every second and with hot water at 200 degrees fahrenheit is way tougher on a hose than any farm application
other than maybe a backhoe.

Did I miss the post where the topic changed from hydraulic hoses to high pressure washer hoses?

Sorry dude, the Z series from Weatherhead and modern fittings from the other major manufacturers bite the wire through the cover, no skiving necessary.

I don't see too many questions on here about people operating pressure washers at extended heights but when I do, I'll be sure to send them your way. :confused2:

And the last sentence italicized, these people have obviously never seen a farmer at work. 3,000 psi is the pressure washer pump output. Farm tractors are around that, however, the pressure spikes brought on by the equipment use far exceed that. it's not constant pressure that kills a hose, it's surging which causes flexing which causes fatigue.

I am wondering when it became appropriate to use forum discussions as advertising for your products and business. I am not being facetious, either. I have been very careful here to answer direct questions, but not to give anyone a sales pitch or to do any direct business promotion here.

This thread is everything the moderators told me is not allowed here.

Have the rules changed, or are they just different for advertisers?

I guess being a paying advertiser gives one the right to make false claims about their product, among other things.

I believe that when you pay $$ to the big guys, you get a bit different set of rules to go by. :confused3:
