I got my seal kit and you can’t change it without pulling the inner bearing on the shaft. They claim not to reuse the bearing after pulling it. The Grasshopper part is $60 and I’m sure has another highway robbery shipping charge on top of that. I might be able to get a bearing locally. And the outside bearing which was supposed to be lubricated with grease was clean and full of hydraulic oil so it’s definitely got a seal failure. You’d be better off tossing this thing in the trash pretty quick. A Grasshopper drive motor is $750. You can get a Parker one not through Grasshopper for $500-600. The seal kit is $65. The bearing is $60 and the other bearing is $20. There’s all kids of needle bearing pads that I haven’t priced in here. The rotor assembly is $300 but mine is tight so I don’t need that. My shaft doesn’t have any scoring so I don’t need that but I’m sure it’s $300. Then the hydraulic shop wanted $200 to install the seal kit.
