Can you cite a source for this info or provide a particular hydrostatic pump/motor combination that operates at a system pressure anywhere near that value?

I never said the system pressure was 30 PSI. I believe I stated the seals where rated to 30 PSI. The reason for this is that by design axial piston pumps and motors require a case drain. The shaft seal only see case pressure on this style of pump or motor. Some of them will allow momentary case pressures of 150 PSI. I believe these are held in by retaining rings and have a heavy steel housing. I was trying to use this as reference for the pressure rating of lip seals.
I realize that this is not an axial piston product but the lip seal style is still very similar.
