Hydraulic PSI

I have an 05 b2910, I find the that the loader is not as strong as it should be. Has anyone ever turned up the psi on the hydraulic system? Thanks!

Yes. I had a 2910 of about the same vintage and the system pressure was a good bit below specs. The system pressure is set with shims behind a plug on the transmission case. The loader also has a relief valve which is on the loader valve. I'm pretty sure the loader valve lets go first, then the trans case. You set the loader relief while operating the loader. Once that is set, you sheck the trans one by operating the 3PH at it's max capacity. On mine, the trans valve was releasing well before the specified pressure.

Thanks I also have another quick question on the loader valve in th float function it should "lock" in to float right? Cause mine does not. I have to hold it in the float position. kinda a pain to be holding it in float all the time, and I know it will be worse with the front blower on this winter. Is there a detent in the valve that could be the problem?

Yes it should lock into position. I have a B2710/LA402 and had the same problem with my loader when it was fairly new. It was still under warranty so they came to the house and fixed it for me. I wasn't here when they came, but I know they had to come back the next day because they needed a part, so they replaced something. I don't remember any more of the details of what they did.
