Hydraulic SSQA idea

I have been considering converting my SSQA on my Kubota to hydraulic. I have a true 3rd function operated off a Summit valve. I was thinking about using a manual splitter valve so that I switch a lever one way and it controls the SSQA cylinder, and then flip the other way and it's back to running my grapple. Anyone used one of these valves before?

It will work just fine. You can get fancy and get the 12v solenoid powered one. That way, you don't even have to leave the seat to switch between one function or the other.

Something like this. Same 6/2 diverter valve but electrically operated. Often they pop up cheaper than the one you listed though.

I considered an electric one but just liked the idea of a manual one. I have a place I could mount it next to the two spool valve that I use for 3rd function and top link that way I could operate from the eat. I suppose it would be pretty simple to mount an electronic valve elsewhere and just have a switch by the seat.

Oh yeah, if you can mount it within reach from the seat, manual is the way to go for sure.

Either manual or electric, they are both diverters. Up to what makes the most sense for you and your application. And yes Surplus Center is hard to beat for anything hydraulic.

I made a hyd ssqa for my L3240 a couple
years ago. I used diverters for both my grapple and the ssqa, I would just mount manual diverter out on the loader arms.

It will reduce the number of hoses you'll have have to be at the front of the loader to connect the hoses when using the grapple anyways so its not like its an inconvenience.

Now if I could find a simple way to autoconnect the hyd fitting I would be very happy! (And yes I'm aware of the bobcat system).

Thanks, its still in the R&D stage, but was planning on producing them at some point.
