Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt
Harv, that little project was like a lot of other things; wouldn't be bad if you knew what you were doing. I could probably do another one pretty quickly, but this first one didn't go too smoothly. The optional hydraulic outlet is much simpler than using the power beyond port from the loader; quick and easy to install (two bolts), pretty easy to reach from the rear without any other disassembly required. And the longest hydraulic hose I used was 31", so it seems to be a neater installation that way.
As for Tisco, the jury's still out on that. The lack of documentation scares me, and the fact that I don't have the proper linkage parts for the handles is an annoyance. But the little valve is small, compact, lightweight, and seems to work very well. And while the cylinders are not quite the perfect length for my tractor, they both look good, work well, and appear to be nearly bullet proof.
I guess my main concern with Tisco is whether you could get parts, instructions, etc. IF anything ever goes wrong with the valve or cylinders, which of course was also my concern with the brands that LarryT mentioned, since I'd never heard of them.
As for pictures, see my response to Thomas. I had planned to make pictures of the components before I did the installation as well as pictures when it was completed, but since I still have no digital camera . . .
