For my next question. The loader valve has 1" OD steel tubing for the IN and the OUT then it has 1/2" steel tubing with hose to all the cylinders.

Can I run 3/4" from the OUT on the loader valve to the divider valve to the backhoe and back to the reservoir?

Yes, although you will have some restriction, probably on the order of going fron 3/8" hose to 1/4" hose which is very common on CUTs. I wouldn't worry about the work ports. Most work port hoses are smaller than the main hoses anyway. My dozer has 1.25" steel for the main circuit and 1/2" hoses for all the work ports.

??????

Are you doing this?

Pump >> Loader valve in >> Loader valve out >> Divider valve >> Backhoe >> Tank?

I think you want to do this:

Pump >> Divider (diverter?) >> Loader valve in OR Backhoe in

I want to do this to keep the original 26 GPM flow to the loader then divide the flow to the backhoe to compensate for the smaller 14 GPM valves in the backhoe.

Pump >> Loader valve in >> Loader valve out >> Divider valve >> Backhoe >> Tank

So you'll use one of these and go:

pump >> loader in >> loader out >> divider >> backhoe (priority) AND tank

I hadn't seen those before. Seems like it should work, as long as the divider valve doesn't let the pressure go to the tank port when you load up the backhoe circuit.

When will I use steel fittings that are JIC and when will I use the NPT. The divider valve specs says NPT.

Doesn't realler matter. Use whatever is convenient. Most tractors have a combination of both.

I called Surplus Center today and talked with a tech person. I explained the system that I am proposing (Pump>>Loader Valve>>Divider Valve>>Backhoe Valve>>Reservoir) and the person told me that I will be risking cracking the outlet side of the loader valve or having the loader cylinders working without anyone touching it. He said that there will be a pressure on that side of the loader valve now because of the backhoe valve upstream unlike now with it being a return line.

What do you all think?

I cannot find anyone who makes a 2 spool valve with Power Beyond to replace mine and also fit into the space provided on the loader. Plus the ones that I think there is a possiblity to custom fit them, they are only 25 GPM not 26 GPM.

Do you think you'd notice 1 gpm?
