Hydro Cooler Failure TC-40D

   / Hydro Cooler Failure TC-40D #111
I purchased a 2002 TC40D last summer with 1500 hours on it. I recently noticed a leak that was traced back to the hydro cooler. Sure enough, it looks like it had been previously welded at that same weak point. Local radiator shop won't touch it. Both dealers in the area are asking $300. I noticed that there are aftermarket coolers (Google the part number - 87301196) for $180 +30 shipping. Anyone go the aftermarket route? Also, I am planning to add hose clamps to support the hoses to alleviate the problem. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

I ended up purchasing the cooler from the following website: OIL COOLER - FORD/NEW HOLLAND / CASE/IH

Cooler ($179 cost + $28 shipping = $207 total) came in 4 days. According to the website, they are made in MN -- assuming that's true, I'm happy to keep my business here in the US. We installed the cooler yesterday. It fit well and seems to be quality made. We also added hose clamps as the service bulletin recommends.
