Sure I do, I also think there should be a punitive damge for property value loss,but as long as corbett is in bed with the gas companies, you and I have little if any say in the matter, except when we vote, but at the rate their going, that will not be soon enough.

I have a very good friend who checks water quality near drill pads on many of the local trout and feeder steams, they have been a resorce for many local business's in the area for decades, and we refuse to have a wealthy few take that from us.

I'm 100% against you when criticizing Tom Corbett. He's still picking up Rendell's mess and trying to fulfill budget shortfalls. I am a strong supporter of Corbett.
If you recall, when he went after corruption in the legislature, he went after Republicans and Democrats equally (as Attorney General).
As far as pre-emption (the "boning" you refer to), with all the boroughs and townships in PA, there has to be some degree of standardization. We gun owners went through this lack of standardization with firearms a while back. Now, all firearms laws are strictly the province of the state legislature...good thing, works fairly well...but still work to do (currently being addressed in the legislature).
As far as property value loss...what loss are you describing? Have YOU suffered a property value loss? Do you know of any documented property value losses?

As far as property value loss...what loss are you describing? Have YOU suffered a property value loss? Do you know of any documented property value losses?

Because of the gas wells our property values have held and in most cases increased.
the link that lockhaven posted could be a good thing but when reading it there is hidden pressure on the countys. If you read it you will find only the countys with active wells can get a fee, no fee even if the county has trucks driving though it. So if a county wants $$ they have to let driling go on.

Quite a few towns around me have passed moratoriums disallowing drilling and/or fracking inside their boundaries. Not sure how legal they are, but 5-10 have.

Yep, lots of stories about such things in the Denton Record Chronicle and the town I live in stopped it in some parts of the town while the rework ordinances.

As far as property value loss, i am referring to the property the fluid was spilled on, if that landowner should suffer any loss in value due to the gas company's negligence, then I feel they should be held accountable,as in punitive damages.

And, the property owner(s) can file a civil suit, don't you think?
Now, I do think many companies lawyers will do any delaying tactics they can...that's wrong.

Tom Corbett let me down as the SAG, I filed a suit, and he never followed up with me, even after repeated phone calls. I had purchased my wife a local gift card for 200.00 for her wedding anniversary. Soon after the company closed up shop.

Yes, that is why I called the Better business bureau and the State attorney general. Needless to say, I never recieved the money back. I personally believe they opened elsewhere nearby under a different name. But without knowing who owned the business in the first place, it does me little good. This is where the SAG would have stepped in to resolve the issue.

Ok... I'm as guilty as the next guy, I've run my mouth and said things I regret... But it was pretty much to make a point, there are too many hair trigger, flash in the pan people here, yes, myself included. Can we get back to tractors and leave the politics and bull$hit out of it? The simple solution to threads that don't interest is to not click.

If they weren't fracking on my block, I might let it go. But as it is, I drink the water here. The water comes out of the ground that some fast buck guys want to pump their secret chemical cocktails into. I didn't get to vote on it, and even if I did, I can't make an informed vote. I only had the choice to not sign the lease, but that doesn't stop them. It just means I didn't get the payoff for signing my rights away. If I have a claim, I get to lawyer up. Try that on my pension.
