The way I understand my JD is that the go pedal increases or decreases the volume of the hydraulic pump (or motor, whatever) and thus does increase or decrease the torque .....in a ratio opposite the resulting speed...
A very common mistake by new operators is to push the pedal further when digging or climbing a hill only to find out the engine bogs down and/or stalls-then they come here asking if their machine is broken![]()
