Bill, great job on the project and the TBN thread. For those of you who don't understand the title of this thread you can read about my pole barn project at the link below.

Spencer's Pole Barn Project

I am hoping Bill feels like me because he is doing this project by himself and not because it will take him over two years to complete it.

Bill, I don't see any antifreeze in the pictures. Not only does it keep you from freezing in the winter but it also keeps you from overheating in the spring and summer. Keep up the detailed postings, we are all looking forward to more. I'd love to see some pictures from further back giving us a perspective on the whole property. I think I saw a house hiding behind some trees in one of the photos. I think I also read a reference to a spring fed pond.

By the way, I love the way you notched your posts, great work!

Hey Bill, my above reply to you was my 777 post. That has got to be good luck.

Geezuz Bill, what are you growin' an smokin' down there to get the energy to get that much done!! Or are you a closet Amish? I'm not too far from you and with the weather we've had I'm having a hard time getting past the design phase for my projects...much less take pictures to boot ! Excellent job you're doing there. You're giving me some good ideas.. just what I need, to add more to the "to do" list !

Henro, This is great, I enjoy reding along with you and can relate to working alone. Keep the pics coming, you are getting me inspired to the point that I may have to get some building materials and start a new project of my own-Lloyd

Henro,

Great work! I have to admit, you're making tremendous progress for a one-man crew! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also know what you mean in regards to "your friend". I also end up working alone alot, and strange as it may seem, just having the tractor nearby, looking on and ready to help at a moments notice, if very reassuring.

Thanks for the great pics!

~Rick

Hi Spencer and everyone,

Thanks for the compliments! Spent another day on the project today, but had to quit early and also had an unexpected setback. I recovered from that but lost a good hour in the process...a picture will follow later...

Only two years? Heck, I designed and built my own home...whoops...was that the past tense I used??? Broke ground in 1980 and it is still not finished! Totally livable though... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Had a little side job come up...23 tons of crushed limestone delivered. Spread some of it on the little road going down to the shed...

Here is the before picture. Don't have an after, but the after is a smaller pile off to the side of the driveway...
